Happy 9 Months Lucy

Dear Lucy,

This last month has been so much fun! Although you have started getting into everything we’ve had a blast watching you grow, learn, and start to really see your personality shine. The best news is that you have turned into a rock star sleeper!! Woohoo!! After months of very little sleep you now sleep in your room all night and take at least one solid nap a day in your room. Lately you have been trying to skip your morning nap which always ends up like this around 11:30….

You love love love food! You are such a little foodie. It is so much fun to see how much you enjoy your meals and new things. I am pretty sure almost every night I say “I can’t belive how well she eats, you think I’d stop saying that by now”. Some of the noteable things you loved this month are: fish, PASTA, any fruit (especially strawberries, grapes, blueberries, peaches and pears), whole wheat blueberry waffles, graham crackers, and grilled ham and cheese. The only think you are not a fan of are white potatoes, you love baked sweet potatoes.

You painted your first picture this month, you were so happy to do an activity with Liam. Your favorite toys this month were the activity cube, the activity table, your Lamaze toys, talking Lightening McQueen, and the little Sesame Street figures.

You are ALL OVER THE PLACE! You are still doing the army crawl/drag crawl because you know you are faster that way but you can do the traditional crawl too. You are also pulling up on everything and I mean everything! BUT you are not very sterdy, you don’t realize you have to hold on not to fall and …well… let’s just say you are not a graceful faller… its been a big challenge the last week or so because you require constant spotting with all the hardwood that we have. You also climbed up the steps at Grandma and Pops house last week.

*Here you are sporting one of Mama’s outfits from when she was a baby.*

This month you got TWO teeth!!! See…here they are!

You weight 22 pounds and wear size 12 sometimes 18 month, size 3 or 4 diaper, and well you NEVER keep shoes on so I have no idea what size you would even be, I am guessing a 2.

my itty bitty baby isn’t so itty bitty anymore…growing girl!!

Our week

My little foodie putting back some fresh caught Alaskan salmon and sweet potatoes…I can’t put into words how much this kid loves food, she tried deer steak last weekend and ate it up.

Our new wreath for the Forth of July! It looks more like fireworks in person then in this picture. IMG_2523

Lucy’s new trick that she does on EVERYTHING! The only downside is that she has no regard for her safety and wants to let go and well…let’s just say she is not a very graceful faller.

Liam and I made “chocolate chip cookies” last week AKA chickpea cookies…pretty sure he thought I was the best mom ever when I let him eat multiple spoonful's of dough.

Have you met my twin…crazy how much this girl and I look alike. (Mama/Lucy)

We went to a church bazaar last weekend and Liam had a great time, he won two prizes and had some yummy pizza. He also got a fish; a younger girl won it and gave it to him, he was THRILLED. Sadly, Tim the fish went to fishy heaven on Wednesday even though we did our best to keep him swimming as long as possible.

…and so the climbing begins…sigh…remember the days when she’d just lay in one spot…those days are long gone!

Mr. Liam and I shared some popcorn while Alex was at softball one night this week.

“Mama…DeeDee’s tackling me” haha poor kid is a jungle gym to his little sister too.

It’s been HOT HOT HOT here this week (no complaints from me though, I love it) so we had some popsicles outside on Wednesday night.

Our everyday

So Liam learned how to use pinterest on my phone HAHAHA…I searched “monster trucks” for him and he had a great time looking at all the trucks and picking out cakes for his party this year. He also found a project idea and recreated it himself!! He completed his very first pin Smile

Tonight Alex had to work so his parents and I took the kids to another church bazaar (there are A LOT of church bazaars in the summer in NEPA). They had a great time playing games, eating french fries and funnel cakes, and going on a hay ride.

Summer is here…

School is out for summer in our area so that means summer is officially here!

IMG_2495IMG_2496someone thinks morning naps are not needed…..

Evan’s last day of school was Friday and my Mom was picking him up so we decided to have a last day of school party at our house. Liam had a BLAST playing with his cousin! All morning he was saying “Eban (how he says his name right now) comin’ after he done with school”. We had pizza, salad, fruit and ice cream cone cupcakes. The boys blew bubbles, played in the sand box, went of the swings and of course played cars and monster trucks.  IMG_2498

NASCAR is at Pocono this weekend so we were trying to find a car that would be making an appearance in the area to take Liam to see. My sister called this morning and told me that she had extra tickets to qualifying and asked if we wanted them so we decided to go. We all had a great time! Liam loved seeing the race cars and the track. Lucy had a good time as well (I mean, she did get held my Mama for almost three hours which is pretty much her heaven) but she seemed to really like watching the cars go by too.

Singing to his sister

Liam loves to sing and lately he has been getting songs stuck in his head, which is adorable. He will just walk around singing a little tune all day. If you remember from some of Lucy “birthday” post one of her favorite songs to be sung is ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ and Liam has picked up the words and started singing it too. I got him on video tonight and just had to share the cuteness.
